The Ten Talents Group of Companies began as a dream in the summer of 2002, when a teacher felt the calling of the LORD within him to leave his high-flying career, to begin a business. Three times the LORD spoke to him, to walk the life of Abraham, to leave Ur of the Chaldees and venture into Canaan. Sensei Michael took courage—he sold off his apartment, left his career and began to found the Ten Talents Group of Companies. Ten Talents Investments was the most important part—the cash-cow of the group, responsible for bringing in the cash-flow to sustain the entire set of operations. With 3 investors and his own cash, he began investment and trading operations in the US stock equity and equity options market. Ten Talents Media Pte Ltd handled the worship music ministry of Sensei Michael. It was also the registered company from which all operations were based. Due to the limited funding, it was the only registered company—all other companies functioned as sub-divisions of Ten Talents Media. The worship music ministry was also the ministry that bled the most cash from the entire group. Ten Talents Education handled the leadership and entrepreneurship training of the company. It was the only division that brought in partners and was actually the only division that has never lost money. This division today carried on as Actionpreneur Pte Ltd, under the able hands of the partners. Pride would shatter that dream. Pride made a man think that he controls his own life when the LORD actually does so. Ten Talents Investments dropped like a stone, because a man was so proud he thought he could no longer depend on the LORD. With Ten Talents Investments gone, the group could no longer function as it did. Today, Sensei Michael is in China, working to pay off the debts he incurred due to the failure of Ten Talents. Humbled by the experience, he has learnt much since. He is now biding his time, praying for investors, and trusting that the LORD will one day bring him back to Canaan. The Ten Talents Group of Companies will return one day. |
